Next to Genotyper 3.0, we're now launching our open Beta of Metrics 1.0. The release notes below cover what's new in our inaugural version of Metrics.

The learn more about why we're building Metrics, read our Introduction to Metrics page

Not seeing Metrics in your navigation menu? We're busy preparing it for your laboratory. Expect to see it in the coming days, once it's available you'll see it in the navigation menu.

In Metrics, insightful parameters are visualized for all data from authorized Genotyper analyses. They are grouped into 2 modules: assay quality and laboratory efficiency.

Assay quality

In the assay quality module, we've created a dashboard that allows you to reason about the quality of one or more assays over time. We've introduce several new metrics for this:

Assay performance

  • Call rate: tracks the overall call rate across the data represented in your view

  • Manual overrides: how much results are being changed by users

  • NTC validity: how many of your negative template controls pass

  • PC validity: how many of your positive controls have the correct expected call

  • Shortfall: % of shortfalls out of all samples (regular and other types)

Read selection

Next to that, it's now possible to see how efficient your PCR programs are being used. You can now see the total amount of reads for a selection of data, but also which of the reads is being used for actual data authorization.

Laboratory efficiency

Throughput metrics

Simple metrics to keep track of the laboratory productivity. How much analyses, datapoints, PCR plates, DNA plates, master plates you are running.

Efficiency metrics

Metrics to keep trace of how efficiently laboratory resources and consumables are being used. Includes % of empty PCR wells, % of failed plates and the amount of redo plates.

Data accuracy metrics

Metrics to ensure laboratory data accuracy. Track AI call rate, override rate and time-to-authorize.

Detail views

Each of our metrics has a detailed timeline view (except for the throughput metrics, we're working on those). In the detail view, you can group the data per day, week or month.

Filters

Each dashboard has filters that you can use to select a subset of the data. In the assay quality dashboard, you can filter for assay and time period. In the laboratory efficiency dashboard, you can filter for user (users with Admin role), instruments and period.

Exports

It's now possible to export a dataset based on the time period you're viewing, using the Export button at the top right.

Your export time will depend on the amount of data you have selected in your view.
