Cluster plot viewer (opt-in)
Customers can now view genotyping results directly in Lab Portal, without needing access to Genotyper or external tools like LGC SNP Viewer™.
In the order view, a brand new "Results" tab now displays a read-only cluster plot, that can be filtered for specific assays and/or specific sample plates.
This plot can be enabled on a per-customer basis.
To enable this cluster plot viewer in Lab Portal, the appropriate export must be enabled in Genotyper.
Diagnostics catalog support
Lab Portal now supports diagnostics workflows alongside the existing marker-based genotyping workflow.
A new Diagnostics catalog sits alongside the Marker catalog under a unified Test catalogs section, with support for qualitative and/or quantitative test types.
New metadata options for diagnostics orders include Limit of Detection (LoD)
Besides plates, we also now support sample bags with subsampling amounts, and sample quantity with configurable units and min/max ranges.
Fixed turnaround times
Order types can now be configured to use fixed turnaround times instead of customer-defined deadlines.
Define one or more named turnaround times (e.g. KASP fast: 3 weekdays, KASP regular: 5 weekdays) per order type.
The deadline is automatically calculated as the arrival date plus the selected turnaround time only including weekdays.
Crop configuration rework
Crop management is now more flexible and better suited to multi-customer laboratory environments.
Configure a global crop filter to show only the crops relevant to your laboratory, eliminating long, irrelevant lists in dropdowns across the application.
Crops now support an external reference, used in order references and CSV exports instead of the internal crop code.
Lab owners can now be assigned at the crop level, as alternative to the customer level.
Crops can optionally have varieties configured, each with their own name and external reference.
Order reference pattern
Order reference numbers can now be built from a configurable pattern, allowing labs to generate anonymized or structured internal order codes that match their own naming conventions.
Build references using variables such as customer shortcode, crop/variety shortcode, year, month, day, and sequential counters.
Marker scope assignment
Labs can now configure how markers are assigned within an order type, defining the level of flexibility customers have. Choose between assigning markers well-by-well, at plate level, or across the full order.

Multi-customer Kraken reference numbers
For labs using the Kraken integration with multiple customers per crop, each customer can now be configured with crop-specific reference numbers directly in the customer configuration screen.
Public API: order endpoints
Two new public API endpoints are now available for integration with external systems.
GET /api/v1/orders: returns a list of orders, filterable by status.GET /api/v1/orders/{reference}: returns the full details of a specific order, including customer, crop, samples, markers, and marker groups.
More information can be found on developers.breedbio.app.
Additional improvements
At authorization time, all notifiers will receive an instant notification mail.
Input sanitization: trailing spaces and other problematic characters in field inputs are now handled consistently across the application.
Customers can no longer set their own lab owners; this is now a lab-only configuration.
Settings - Integrations - Ignored samples: define which samples need to be excluded from bulk import sample lists like 'empty'.
Orders can be placed in draft mode until they are published by the customer. This signals the laboratory to start planning.
