This release includes new dashboards for operational efficiency, in-depth order planning insights, and service level monitoring.
With the release of Metrics 1.2, you’ll find a new Order Planning menu item, leading you to new dashboards for Lab Portal orders. All widgets in this dashboard can be filtered by time period and by customer.
Order overview
This section provides a quick, high-level overview of your laboratory's activity. For the selected time period, the card displays the total number of orders created as well as the number of unique customers served. The green and red arrows are an indication for increase / decrease compared to the previous period.
Service level
The "Service Level" section provides a comprehensive overview of your order delivery performance against deadlines. This helps you track the consistency of your laboratory in meeting /exceeding expected timelines.
This graph visualizes your service level performance over time, allowing you to identify trends and patterns:
Each data point summarizes orders per day, week or month
Positive (green) data points represent orders delivered before their deadline
Negative (red) data points represent orders delivered after their deadline
Clicking a data point reveals all orders summarized in that data point
Order planning
This section provides insights into your laboratory's operational efficiency by capturing the average time it takes to move orders through each stage of your laboratory workflow.
Unplanned orders: This number indicates how many orders were received without being registered or planned
TAT (Turnaround Time): This represents the actual average time it took to complete all your orders during the selected time period
The graphs provide additional insights into how long orders sit in a specific stage:
Registered: order is registered, but not yet planned by the laboratory
Planned: order is planned by the lab, awaiting shipment from customer
Shipped: order is in transit to the laboratory
Arrived: order has arrived in the laboratory, awaiting processing to begin
Processing: order is being processed by the lab, results are not yet available
These metrics help you assess planning accuracy, track operational speed, and uncover areas for workflow optimization.
Order consistency
This section helps you understand how reliably customers adhere to their estimated order details, regarding shipping timelines, sample quantities and requested markers. This insight is crucial for efficient laboratory planning and resource management.
Late shipping displays the number of orders where the customer shipped their order later than their initially planned shipping date. The graph below provides more details by plotting the number of orders shipped before and after the planned shipping date.
Consistent orders represents the number of orders where the customer's actual sample quantity and marker quantity matched their initial estimates. The graphs below provides more details by plotting these differences as a percentage of the total order quantity.
